Si hay una canción que me ha sorprendido esa es la nueva interpretación del Pitbull tituldada Give me Everything y que sirve como presentación de su nuevo disco llamado ‘Planet Pit‘ y que verá la luz en junio de 2011. Give me Everything es su primer single y está respaldado por la impresionante voz de Ne – Yo, otro rapero que se pasa al dance. Y que parece que está de moda que los cantantes de R&B realicen incursiones en el mundo del dance. Comenzó Akon de la mano de David Guetta y su Sexy Bitch, Kelly Rowland, también probó fortuna en el dance de la mano de Guetta. Después Flo Rida, Usher, Rihanna… aunque probablemente han sido algunos más.  Ahora le toca el turno Ne – Yo . Cierto es que solo es una participación por parte de Ne – Yo junto con Afrojack y la ya habitual presencia de  Nayer (la modelo que sigue a Pitbull en todos sus vídeos) y que realmente el protagonista de Give Me Everything es Pitbull. Pero la intervención de Ne – Yo no deja de ser un coqueteo con el dance, algo que cada vez esta más de moda entre los cantantes de R&B, una forma de universalizar más su música para así llegar a mucho más público.

No deja de ser fascinante la adaptabilidad de Pitbull a participar en todos los estilos musicales y junto a decanas de cantantes de estilos tan dispares, quedando a mis ojos, como un mercenario que tanto canta con Usher, como con Don Omar o Enrique Iglesias, JLo o Shakira, con el único objetivo de participar en lo que sea, sin importar la calidad. A fin de cuentas es curriculum. Ya solo le falta grabar un tema con Georgie Dan o con Bisbal.

No cabe ninguna duda de que, probablemente Give Me Everything será el mejor tema de Pitbull editado hasta la fecha. No incluiré el single I Know You Want Me por considerarlo una revisión oportunista de un tema de éxito cambiando la voz original por la suya.

Sony Music describe el single como una canción de gran energía, mezcla de estilos y tendencias que van del pop al hip-hop, siempre con un punto contemporáneo y pensado para hacer que las pistas de los clubes se pongan a cien. Es lo nuevo de Pitbull, un paso adelante que le puede hacer alcanzar los pocos rincones a los que aún no ha llegado su música, que cada vez toma aires más globales.
